Teaching Garden Volunteer Time at Gregory-Lincoln Education Center, 1101 Taft St. Houston, TX 77011. Activities: Planting & Harvesting summer veggies which thrive in Houston heat and humidity. 

All volunteers welcome. 


Please wear closed toe shoes, long pants, hat and bring a reusable water bottle.

Dig in to help us prepare the outdoor classroom vegetable gardens for fall planting!

Dig-It Day! School Community Garden Workday

Gregory-Lincoln Education Center, 1101 Taft St. Houston, TX 77011. Help Us Dig in to a school garden. We will be cleaning up and preparing the school garden beds for Fall planting.

Learn weeding, turning compost, harvesting tips & techniques!

Healthy snacks will be provided, featuring basil pesto.

basil, herbs and vegetable seeds will be shared with volunteers.

Urban Harvest Edible Academy: Lead, Share, Grow!
Parents, educators and community garden volunteers will get hands-on experience that will help them best use their outdoor classroom.

Starting a Community or School Garden Workshop
