Community Gardening Events

Harvest Celebration

Each fall community gardeners gather together to enjoy a potluck lunch and awards celebration. This is an opportunity to recognize the hardworking volunteers in your garden with an award certificate and speech about their contributions. Our Community Gardens Committee, a group of dedicated volunteers, coordinates the event which includes creating personalized certificates for your gardeners for five, ten, and fifteen years of service. Special awards are also given to honor the exceptional efforts of a few gardens and gardeners each year

Spring Fling

Our annual spring event is our Spring Fling.  This event is hosted by a different community garden each year.  Community gardeners come together to trade ideas, share success stories and maybe learn something.  We have a speaker or presentation on a gardening topic by a local expert.  The hosting gardeners often give tours of their garden.
