Prepare for the Fruit Tree Sale

This class is for anyone who wants to plant fruit trees in their yard and intends to purchase them at the Urban Harvest fruit tree sale on January 9, 2010. There will be a presentation with pictures of every fruit variety that will be available at the sale. In addition and of critical importance, there will be discussion on how to plant, prune and care for the trees.

This exciting presentation is always filled with the exact information needed to prepare for the sale, to help decide what to purchase, where to plant in the landscape, and how to care for the trees.

A portion of this class will be devoted to High Density Home Orchards which is a technique of planting fruit trees close together to increase the number and varieties of trees that can be planted in your space, and still get excellent production.

A booklet with the information contained in this class will be available for purchase. You can take it home and review at your leisure, and use it for planting and care once you have purchased the trees.”

Heidi Sheesley is proprietor of Treesearch Farms which provides most of the trees at the sale.

Ray Sher is a coordinator of the sale and an avid fruit tree grower.

Angela Chandler is expert in development of high density home orchards.
