This class was great! Lots of information packed into the time, no wasted time at all. Plus an opportunity to see up close and first-hand a space devoted to maximum fruit and veggie production.

Sustainable Living Through Permaculture 1: SLTP 1

The design principles of Permaculture (PC) are explained, observed and illustrated in a series of breakout sessions at a home and garden remodeled to reflect PC sustainability principles. This garden is set up with cisterns, many types of fruits, vegetables, habitat plants, a small area for collecting excess rain and a remodeled home that includes many features to reduce energy consumption. NOTE: Sustainable Living #1 and 2 are prerequisites to the permaculture series classes. There are no refunds on classes.

InstructorsBio   The Permaculture Guild of Houston is a group of people who have completed approx. 100 hours of Permaculture classes to become Certified Permaculture Designers.

Address   email with address and directions will be sent out the Thurs or Friday before the class.
Directions   If rain is in the forecast, please bring an umbrella and/or rain slicker as the class will be held rain or shine.
This   is an outdoor instructional class, so please dress accordingly. You should wear closed toe shoes, layered clothing, bring a bottle of water and a snack. If you have a hard time standing for long periods of time, you may want to bring a folding chair.
