Gardening 101 for Teaching in the Outdoor Classroom Workshop

In this 3 hour workshop, participants will learn gardening basics and garden nutrition education.. Participants will be introduced to methods of growing vegetables in the Houston climate. Topics, such as gardening basics, planting and planting demonstrations, as well as care and maintenance of the garden will be covered. In addition, participants will experience a dynamic nutrition presentation and tasting by Chef Tarsha Gary of ECOTONE. Teachers, students age 8+, parents & community volunteers are welcome!
