Annual Low Temperatures: Freeze Data for Your Area

Many fruit trees and plants cannot survive below a certain temperature. Some die at 32 degrees while others have no problem living through a freeze of 30, 28 or even lower temperatures. Freeze tolerance may be provided with tree varieties, but you'll need to know the low temperatures in your part of Houston to decide which varieties to plant. Below is a table of annual lowest temperatures in various Houston areas; find your part of town to see how cold tolerant your fruit trees need to be.
